Human Trafficking - Edo State Taskforce against Human Trafficking

Edo State is internationally recognized as a hub for trafficking of women and children for sexual exploitation, this is a precursor to the decision of the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki; to change this narrative through the work and activities of the Edo State Taskforce against Human Trafficking, (ETAHT). Since the creation of ETAHT in 2017, firm and effective initiatives have been introduced in the areas of the rehabilitatiion and reintegration of returnees. In addition, much needed efforts are being put towards the strengthening of current initiatives through awareness programs and in supporting victims towards regaining their self-esteem, as well as to be of value to themselves and the society. Click on the video below to learn more from Ms. Yinka Omorogbe - Chairperson ETAHT Our appreciation goes out to ETAHT for participating in our previous LIVE discussion on KU FM #AwarenessIsCrucial
